 The story "my house"  is part of  the lesson  " Little English" with AAAS. Barga.

I translated it to help the adult students, who have  just started an approach with this language.

Lesson 3

  My house is comfortable. It has: a kitchen, a dining-room, a living-room, three bedrooms and a bath-room.   My daughter and I like the kitchen because we enjoy cooking.  The kids set the table in the dining-room while my husband sits in his armchair in the living-room watching the sport programs on the TV.

When we wake up in the morning, the first thing, that everyone has to do, is to use the bath-room. My grand-daughter takes a long time to comb her long hair. My mother has a shower very early in the morning, and usually I go after her. The boys wash their face, brush their teeth and quickly run out to catch the bus to go to school.

After a hard and busy day it’s time to go to bed. We are glad to enter in our bed-rooms. We hurry to switch off the light and have a good sleep.”

 

La mia casa è confortevole. È composta di: una cucina, una sala da pranzo, un soggiorno, tre camere ed un bagno.

A mia figlia ed io piace la cucina perché ci divertiamo a cucinare. I piccoli apparecchiano la tavola mentre mio marito si siede sulla poltrona guardando i programmi sportivi alla TV.

Quando ci svegliamo nel mattino, la prima cosa che tutti vogliamo fare è usare il bagno. Mia nipote le ci vuole molto tempo per pettinare i suoi lunghi capelli. Mia mamma si fa la doccia molto presto la mattina e di solito io dopo di lei. I ragazzi si lavano il viso ed i denti, e velocemente corrono fuori per prendere l’autobus per andare a scuola.

Dopo un faticosa ed impegnativa giornata è l’ora di andare a letto. Siamo felici di entrare nella nostra camera. E ci sbrighiamo a spegnere la luce e fare una buona dormita.

During the two years of pandemia I followed computer course online promoted by UNI3 Barga, supported by the excellent Teacher Renato Luti.  The adults discoved a new way of having lessons , but all of us were glad to participate.

Finally in the month of February we went back in presence. The computer classroom of the ISI School of Barga is very efficient, it has up dated computers and comfortable desks. I hope that the emergency covid has finished so that everybody can go back to a normal life.

 

Durante i due anni di pandemia ho seguito il corso d’informatica on-line, promosso dal UNI3 di Barga, supportato dall’ eccellente Professore Renato Luti. Gli adulti scoprirono  una modalità nuova per seguire le lezioni, ma tutte noi eravamo felice di partecipare.

Finalmente nel mese di Febbraio siamo ritornati in presenza. L'aula dell' informatica all' Istituto ISI di Barga è molto efficiente, ci sono  i computer nuovi e le scrivanie sono comode. Voglio sperare che l’emergenza covid sia finita, e che tutti noi possiamo ritornare alla vita normale.

        My relatives in Melbourne, live in houses surrounded by amazing wide open spaces, not far from a suburb named South Morang. They can see much of  the green country sights. The kangaroos skip very near inhabited centers,  and sometimes even beautiful colorful   birds fly undisturbed there, too.  

My cousin sees these species very often while he goes for a walk,  and has a chance  to shoot  photos very near. He says that kangaroos are usually not scared of people.

 The fauna and flora in Australia is very colorful….

P.S. When I lived in Melbourne I was very near  to the city in Brunswick so I’ve never had a chance to see these animals live in freedom.

 

        I miei parenti in Melbourne abitano in case circondate da meravigliosi spazi aperti, non distanti da sub-borgo di South Morang. Possono ammirare panorami nel verde.  I canguri saltellano molto vicino ai centri abitati, ed anche i coloratissimi uccellini volano e si posano  indisturbati. Mio cucino incontra spesso questi specie quando va a fare una camminato, ed ha la possibilità di scattare le  foto da molto vicino. Lui dice che i canguri normalmente non  hanno paura della gente.

La fauna e flora è molto colorata in Australia.

P.S. quando vivevo in Melbourne, abitavo molto vicino alla città e non ho mai avuto l’opportunità  di vedere questi animali vivere in libertà.

Buon San Valentino….

                     Oggi, 11 Febbraio 2022.

 Un giorno come due anni fa... 2020

 

            Per tutti noi era una giornata come tante altre. Non eravamo ancora informati di quel virus killer, come lo definisco io, quello che ha fermato la nostra vita. Chi se lo poteva immaginare che da li a poco si presentava una pandemia.

             Mai immaginavamo di dover indossare una mascherina. Che tipo??? C’le indicavano di ogni genere. In primo momento non c’erano a sufficienza, non si trovavano. Quelle disponibili erano destinate per il far bisogno ai nostri Medici ed Infermiere.  Allora qui si era messo in moto l’ingegno di ogni donna per confezionare le mascherine di stoffa, cioè fatte in casa. Il governo ci comunicava in continuazione che quelle non erano adatte perché non erano protettive contro il contagio.

               Dopo due anni con l’obbligo di dover indossare la mascherina in ogni luogo, sia al chiuse che all’aperto, finalmente da questo giorno cade l’obbligo d’indossare la mascherina all’aperto.  

Alleluia……..è una bella cosa poter rivedere le persone con il viso scoperto.

 Forse siamo alla fine di quel  lungo e buio tunnel……forse rivediamo la luce molto presto……speriamo….

Nonostante dobbiamo mantenere l’attenzione nell’assembramenti.

 

Today, February 11th....2022

It was a day like two years ago…….2020

 

           For all of us it was a day like another.  We were not informed yet of that virus killer, as I call it,  the one that stopped our lives. Who could imagine that from that day a pandemia  would  arise.

        We never could imagine to wear masks. What sort?  They indicated all sorts . In the first moment there weren’t enough, we couldn’t find them anywhere. The available ones were for our Doctors and Nurses. 

     So at this point all the ladies had to engineer themselves to sew  with materials hand made masks . The Government kept telling us that those didn't protective enough against the infection.

         After two years obliged to wear the masks, both indoors and outdoors, finally from this day the obligation falls to wear it outdoors.

    Alleluia……it’s lovely to see people with their face uncovered .

    Maybe we are at the end of that long and dark tunnel…. Maybe we shall see the light very soon………we hope….

  Well anyway we still have to be careful in crowded places.

 

 Sanremo 2022..

Who is our President?

 

No change!!!! No new entry in Quirinale. President Mattarella has been re-elected. After seven years of mandate of Presidency he was looking forward to a relaxing future, out of many constitutional commitments. But Instead at the last minute our Politics decided to give him trust for the following years.

Well, I think that it hasn’t been a great job of Policy taking this decision, but surely under all of this there must be a strategy that only they can understand.

 

Good work Dear President Mattarella……. THANKYOU…

 

Nessun cambio! Nessun nuovo inquilino al Quirinale. Presidente Mattarella è stato re-eletto. Dopo sette anni di mandato Presidenziale attendeva un futuro per rilassarsi senza tanti impegni costituzionale. Ma invece all’ultimo momento i nostri Politici decidono di darle la fiducia per i seguenti sette anni.

Penso che la Politica non abbia lavorato bene per prendere questa decisione, ma sicuramente sotto, sotto ci sarà una strategia che solo loro capiscono….
