DAILY DIARY...
OLIMPIADI MILANO-CORTINA 2026
Da qualche giorno sono iniziate le Olimpiadi invernale Milano-Cortina 2026.
La cerimonio d’apertura era uno spettacolo!. C’erano tutti i colori dell’universo
.
IN BOCCA
A LUPO A TUTTI GLI ATLETI, vinca il migliore
“FAIR
PLAY TO EVERYBODY”
La presidente Kirsty Coventry ha omaggiato gli atleti per
tutto lo sforzo e la passione che mettono nello sport, così come ho apprezzato
il grido di pace di Charlize Theron."
"Mr. President of the Republic, Dear Giovanni, Dear
Athletes, Welcome to your Games!
Whether you are here in
Milan, in Cortina, in Predazzo, or in Livigno: welcome! This is your moment. I
know what it feels like—that indescribable mix of excitement and nerves. Your
whole life of hard work, the early mornings, the sacrifices, and the defeats...
it all comes down to this moment. I know that feeling: when you realize that
you are here, you made it.
Be proud of the journey you have taken. And now, enjoy every second. Over
the next two weeks, you will give us something special: you will show us what
it means to be human. To dream, to fall, to rise again, and to respect one
another. You will remind us that strength is not just about winning, but lies
in courage, empathy, and heart.
You will not only create incredible memories: you will show the world how
to truly live. This is why we love the Olympic
Games. Through you, we see the best of ourselves. You remind us that we can be
brave, that we can be kind, and that we can rise, no matter how hard we fall.
In Africa, where I come from,
we have a word: Ubuntu. It means: 'I am
because we are'. It reminds us that we are stronger together and that we only
grow when we support each other.
In an era where much of the world is divided by conflict, your presence
here proves that another world is possible. A world of unity, respect, and
harmony.
Thank you for believing in the magic of the Olympic Games. The Olympic
Flame, which has traveled across all of Italy, will now light your way and will
burn for the first time in two different cauldrons, a symbol of a united and
creative Italy.
Viva i Giochi Olimpici!
Viva l'Italia!"
CHARLIZE THERON:
Athletes, spectators
from every corner of the world, this is a message of peace by my beloved
countryman Nelson Mandela. Peace is not just the absence of conflict. Peace is
the creation of an environment where all can flourish, regardless of race,
color, creed, religion, gender, class, caste, or any other social markers of
difference.
Today, this message
seems more relevant than ever. So let these Games be more than just sport. Let
them be a reminder of our common humanity, our respect for one another, and a
resounding call for peace everywhere.

The Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics began a few days ago.
The opening ceremony was a spectacle! All the colors of the universe were
there.
Artists from all over the world gathered to sing, dance, and perform,
paying homage to this important and exciting event, before the eyes of the
entire world. The athletes marched enthusiastically, bringing with them a great
desire to compete.
HARMONY and UNITY are the key words of these games. A beautiful message!
The shift in scenery, from the mountaintops to the city, gave everyone the
beauty of our beautiful country, thrilling both the spectators at home and the
many in attendance. I also watched it from my armchair at home, along with my
friend (MARIA). We exchanged some criticisms, but mostly we were enchanted by
the entire organization.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE ATHLETES, may the best man win!
"FAIR PLAY TO EVERYBODY"
I really appreciated the inaugural speeches from these two WOMEN.
President Kirsty Coventry paid tribute to the athletes for all the effort
and passion they put into their sport, just as I appreciated Charlize Theron's
cry for peace.
